So, it is holiday season. So much is going on in our world right now, so it is direly important that you acknowledge and do what you are able to do in your power with making the world a better place. A better place can be you deciding to make positive choices that do not impact you, or others in a negative way. Social media and television programing is there just for that reason. Programming!... Allowing what you see in the media to spoon feed your path step by step is very destructive. You want to make sure that you be careful with letting social norms quietly and so cleverly pull you away from your own autonomy. Make sure that you are standing for something so that you do not fall for anything. Make sure that the foundation that you choose to stand on is not oppressive to anyone. Especially if you are a person of privilege. Best of all, do not do it because you know it is the right thing to do, but because you have empathy, and it actually is important to you. Why? Because it isn't about you. Why be performative?!? Do you want a cookie? I don't have any for you! No brownie points or ego strokes over here. So, if you are irritated by now this post is for you. Remember that stinking thinking isn't good for your body, others around you, or the earth. There aren't enough trees in the world to absorb the negative impact of such a mindset. So, as we acknowledge the many hardships and happenings around the world, let us remember to make the best of what we allow to influence our minds and actions. Do what you have in your power to do to help others. Putting blinders on isn't a solution. You live in the is world. Do not be dismissive either. This year is just as hard for many as it was last year and the year before with the pandemic so, assuming that because things are going well for you in certain areas, never assume that someone else of whom isn't in your position in life live incorrectly just because what you are doing is working for you. Do you! Don't contribute to one of the many reasons why mother nature and humans all over the world are saying "Fuck this shit!" Be Well!

Where do I start? The pie in the photo is a plant based organic purple sweet potato pie that I made.
It has been ages since I have posted a blog post. *** I will be adding recipes and tips to this blog site. Don't worry I will be speaking my mind as well. Anyways! I have put plenty of time and effort into my social media platforms but have not posted here. There is enough content to prepare me for launching my services. I am not here to sit here looking cute! I want everyone to see what kind of lifestyle that I have been living regarding my health and wellbeing. Lifestyle is important to me. Why? Because lifestyle always has connection to our core belief systems, values, and everyday reality. I am from a town that does not have a lot of faces that look like mine. In my town there are aspects of the holistic/plant-based lifestyle that is embraced when it comes to diet, eating, and overall lifestyle. Sea moss, yoga, smoothies, and the plant-based lifestyle choices seem to be more of a fad and an easy go to for business profit in my experience with my people of the diaspora. I cringe when I think about how many people embrace aspects of the plant-based lifestyle, or holistic living knowing that it may possibly be just temporary to look good on a vacation, to stay relevant, or just for the dough $$$$ to add to the grind. We are for the culture alright? We are on cloud nine when we leave a Wakanda screening and have that "I am rooting for everybody black" energy, but when it comes to the plant based electric lifestyle the record starts skipping, the music stops, the lights turn on, and the "Its Time to Go" song comes on metaphorically speaking. We still have a hard time understanding and accepting that we may be kings and queens; but we do not all share the same values and belief systems. Attend a group, event, or even make yourself present on a platform and you will experience condescending remarks or ideas, jokes, jeering, be made an example, be challenged, or just find yourself surrounded by people who let it be known that they are uncomfortable with your values around how you choose to care for your temple. You see the squirming, yuck faces, eye rolling, and all that comes with it. You know exactly what I am talking about when it comes to being plant based in the diaspora. It really doesn't matter where you live in this world, you get it. People who are not of the diaspora experience this as well. Do not get it twisted. People who are not of the diaspora are guilty of treating plant-based folks that look like me as joke as well. Some, not all! There is are myths/ideas that I want to dispel: The plant-based lifestyle is not a perceived social status, or marker of financial achievement. No one earns the MF'ing right to eat healthy. Eating healthy is a human right. Eating plant based is not an attempt to be bougie. Eating plants that grow freely from the MF'ing ground is a human right. The plant-based lifestyle does not consist of salads. The plant-based lifestyle is not a "Eurocentric" lifestyle. We season our MF'ng food. Who doesn't? A "poor person" on a plant-based lifestyle is not financial irresponsibility. Aint no "get what you get and don't have a fit" when it comes to making the right choices to preventing illness and maintaining health. I can get into talking about agriculture in how nations profit off of making people sick just to create programs that give huge tax breaks or cut huge checks for organizations to "educate the poor/disadvantage about health & wellness". I am going to save that topic for another day. Eating plant based is not an option on a menu. Some of us are out here trying to heal from conditions, live longer lives, or may have bodies that don't agree with the western diet. So no, you don't get to add your two cents. No one wants your change. Go put it in the bank to add to your McDonalds value menu money. That dollar menu burger will marry your intestines and show up decades later in your colonoscopy love. Cheap depending on what it is isn't better then adding years to your life. You do not need to prove yourself to society by purchasing crap to be approved as financially responsible. You can find organic fruits, veggies, and other vegan items for free these days at food pantries if you know which ones to go to. Tuh... "You can miss me wit it(T.I. voice)! Learning how to be resourceful is key. "So, to hell in a handbasket to all of these social constructs that add to the chaos of this world. Ya feel me?!?! So many people fear transitioning their lifestyle because of all the negative perceptions that exist within the diaspora. I could go on, but I won't. Today there was a need for me to address all of the shade, subs, comments, rude gestures, and everything else un-called for from people who choose to remain uninformed. Let's wrap this blog post up with a little encouragement: Adjusting your diet helps. Transitioning to plant based is a process that does include the slow elimination of items from your diet though planning. All planning has to be specifically based upon your individual body needs, ailments, and even food interests. Yes, you can cook that chicken differently while you transition. I can provide some pointers. Your meals are not limited to bland and boring. If you see me eating plain, please understand that it's for me and not you for specific reasons. Ask me and I will tell you. There so many options. Eat from all regions of this planet if you so desire because you can do that plant based. Do not limit yourself. I am not here to judge plates calling folks low vibrational, but I am here to just to encourage, inspire, and cut be the cut up that I am. Well Look who is here. Here I am. I am back from a hiatus. Sometimes you just have to hunker down and rescue your damn self from some things that only you yourself can understand. Just call me "Incogshero". It's about setting boundaries, clearing the audience, lowering the curtain, and clearing the backstage. No one gets a seat in the theater when you are under construction. There are some things that we all experience in ways that only you, your creator, and your spirit guides understand... The right ones... We are not talking about demons, so let's not get it twisted. It's been months. I have so many topics to write about. So many. Social media is not the platform for me. This is a platform... My platform. I have yet to dive deep. When I do I need you all to be prepared. I am warning some of you ahead of time that some of my content you will not agree with. You may even end up hating me as a result. It's ok! Just kindly and respectfully leave quietly. There are enough bloggers on this earth that fit your guidelines, preferences, and expectations. I am not for everyone. Check this out: I have some projects that I am working on, I am also a mom, and I also have to work as well as continue on my healing journey. Short and sweet today, but stay tuned. I am that seasoned social services professional, mom, and plant based sista-girl who has tea.... Literally! Stay tuned because my scoop isn't about drama, gossip, and pettiness. This is my wellness journey along with my multi-faced interests. Be inspired in the process if you care to do so.
Stay tuned! First they kidnapped you from your motherland. They dared you to speak, then beat you for not speaking. Then muffled everything about you down to become less than human in front of your offspring and in front of your king. This programming makes them uncomfortable when you express your needs and feelings. The beatings, lynching, deprivation, humiliation, degradation, rapes, and everything else abominable and uncivilized was used condition you. It's that psychological method of using "classical conditioning" to mold you into someone who is uncomfortable with the sound of your own voice. The same ones that cause you to walk on eggshells every time that you speak. Even to the point of being rewarded and deemed as a model woman for remaining silent and subject to those that have “rule” over you. You took it home to your man and he loved it. He still loves your silence.
You are out of order if you speak anything that presents a challenge. You have become a dumping ground for everyone's insecurities, so you remain silent and on eggshells to prove your love, loyalty, and understanding. When present around other women that you do not resemble in society, you disappear within the melting pot of everyone else. When it is your turn you are last. You receive the crumbs of everyone else's willingness to hear and listen. You receive the crumbs of absolutely everything and you are expected to be content with almost nothing. You must actively show your content when it comes to absolutely everything including violating d*ck. You were taught to shake that a**but you better not because you are a whore, but you better shake that ass. You are that trophy b*tch and scum at the same time. Society does it's due diligence to haunt you into silence with that slave master hate. They hate the slave master but they got him whipped in them so deep that the wounds have time traveled through bloodlines seeded from parasitic evasive people. As time progressed up to today the only progress is time. They used every method possible to sell the message that you are a cringe worthy obnoxious noise and still do. You are simply unpleasant until you meet the definition of everyone's expectations. You are a nuisance. They will pat you on the back, call you strong for allowing society to doormat you. You Know! For getting laid off, or fired for every reason possible after you worked yourself sick. The abuse has worn your spirit and made you physically ill. With that, don't forget that you better cook every meal, withstand infidelity, march in the street, block gun barrels, clean up behind everyone, provide professional quality homeschooling for children, public education, or not. There is more. You better stroke the ego of every man on earth to minimize someone else's insecurities and someone else projected intimidation. It is because you are a bitter angry black woman is what they say while calling you a strong black woman. They profess that the stigma and stereotypes society traps you in is wrong and they dare not do such. All while they direct the conversation when you speak. Their tone, their body language, their avoidance, jokes, comments, hesitance, and manic behavior. When you are around in person or online they tell you; "Shut up but I hear you!" Keep speaking and they will boil over in anger and disgust until they say; "I hear you so shut up!" You better accept their deflections, rejections, and interpretation of what they do not realize was beat into them echoing up from ancestral wounds. Remember that you carry the world on your back. Regardless you must maintain the brag worthy career, body, mothering, Carol Brady smile/joy, meekness, remain submissive to your partner, garden, stay woke, grocery shop, sew clothing, nurse everyone back to health, be a safe haven, stress relief, garbage can for everyone to pour their spiritual garbage into, and prayer warrior, work 40 to 60 hours a week, gain chef worthy cooking skills, be a personal therapist, use your listening skills when you are sickly tired, have fairy tale patience, have understanding because no one understands how much you really do understand because you are everything to everyone, have energizer bunny energy 24 hours a day, and be freak nasty bedroom skills on demand. You better not speak too much as they remind you in so many ways without actually saying whatever it is you need to say until you tick them all the way off. Yet they still lust after the shape of the very lips that they do not want to hear from unless words are tailored to everyone else's liking. They lust for the same mouth muzzled for taming slaves, then placed the same sh*t on high fashioned runways. When you go home they kiss and bite your lips as a reward for being obedient. Then call you queen while you hold back tears from being beat-thee-f*ck-down emotionally, physically, and mentally. All while you carry the pain of your ancestors that everyone expects you to heal from., Yet life and others will not allow you time enough for self care, enjoyment, to see a therapist, or time alone. If you go see a therapist they will forget that it has always been on your roster because it is the help that you have always longed for. It is your opportunity to be heard. You hope! You know they just want the credit for making mention and caring about black women right? Do not rest too long because they may see you as irresponsible, or a bad parent. They don't honor your motherhood the same way that they do when trying to appear noble in public to disguise for every reason beneficial to no one else but themselves. Better catch them on the up and up. They might listen to you a little more. Don't speak too long, or let your guard down because it might make them mad. If you speak long, it will seem too good to be true because it might just be when you least expect it when your vulnerability will be used against you. Speak up and you are crazy because it was beaten into the male ancestors to believe that a black woman is angry and irrational. That sh*t sure did pass through generations; didn't it? They always deny that they are still trained. Calling you crazy is their shield from facing their own frailties, insecurities, and mistakes. It is because they are male and must be treated like a king. They enjoy the coddling until it is gone and everything becomes comfortable again. You are their spiritual and physical punching bag. You must take it because it is expected of you. Their egos are bigger than life. They run like hell inwardly afraid to look back as if they will be turned into pillars of salt if anyone sees what they have worked so hard to cover. It is the very thing that they refuse to acknowledge. Their traumas have moved them into a state of delirium. They have lied to themselves so much that they believe their own lies forming into a person that does not really exist. They will remind you that you are in competition with women from other cultures who listen easier, who speak less, who are happier, and who are sexy when they are angry. They want you to admit that something is wrong with you because you do not have a man. You must admit that you are partially responsible when really everyone internally feels that you are fully responsible for broken families and wrong relationship choices. They will hold you responsible for destroying black families because you have something against the black man who loves you. They will call you a reproach and treat you as one for going and seeking public assistance even though you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You know that they rest on a king sized bed of coddled that the slave master taught them. They work blood, sweat, and tears to convince the world that you choose the system over them. They work blood, sweat and tears of their misplaced trauma to talk about how you sit up on the system. All in order for them to avoid facing the painful truth. They know that you did everything in your power to avoid the system while trying to nurture children and to restore your health because if you don't rest you could die. They despise you for doing everything you can to be successful. If you do it without their help they hurt and accuse you of being a feminist, against men, and accuse you of not needing a man. They are so far gone in their hurts that they do not recognize how deeply it hurts you because they are hurt. They say that you do not listen when in all actuality you lose sleep to make them happy in so many areas of their lives. They accuse you when you have always been there for them in some kind of way risking your own well-being trying to prove your love for them. Their pain allows them to forget that you understand them better than anyone else because the inward pain they project won't allow them to see you for the queen that they say that you are. All of the back and forth with pain and trauma to become disgruntled at the audacity you have to turn around and take time off of work to raise your children because you are lazy. You will never be praised for being a stay at home mother. Who cares if you are married. It doesn't count because you must keep your slave essence by remaining a productive member of society. The roles that best fit you are categorized as essential because you are a strong black woman, a doormat... Your reward is a praise for being deathly weary enough to be worked into the ground by society and society's expectations. Your voice must be filtered to be heard through the voices of the descendants of slave masters, or the descendants of bigots. Don't detest, but be grateful because it is noble of them to fight for you and even better if they land a higher income benefiting from your pain. They remind you that you are lazy and no good because you ran the children of your father off. You might be a whore with manifested DNA birthed from someone unknown even if you only slept with one person. Jerry Springer put them up on game and may even have slave master in his blood because he still has people whipped and in line. They interpret your pain as confrontational. They interpret your pain as a lack of emotional intelligence. They interpret your pain as an assault to their position. They interpret your pain as an attempt to assault, or murder their bodies knowing that you have a caring heart. They see you as a threat because of your DNA. They see you as a threat because of your birthright. They see you as a threat because deep down they understand that you are beyond powerful, so they cannot handle it. So much as to destroy it because it makes them uncomfortable. They continue to take from you because they have been taught that you are low enough to have the right to do so without looking back. They want your breasts, They want your hips. They want your butt. They want your strength. They want your tone. They want your womb. They want your DNA. They want your twang. They want your lips. They want your eyes. They want your man. They want your hair, but they hate it and use it against you. They want your style. They want your inventions. They take everything. They see you and see a financial come-up. They see you and see a puppet. They see you and see a ladder. They see you as incomplete. They see you as damaged goods; that’s if you dare speak anything that challenges anyone's ego, position, or insecurities. Even the trained ones that look like you. Every time you speak the God in you rattles the bones, ears, and conscious of everyone. Your words are powerful. Your words are healing. Your words are transparent. Your words are true. Your words produce life. Your words bring about change. Your words put magnifying glasses to hearts so they shut you down quickly. Your words are a reminder of what they are guilty of. Your words defeat every "they" and ism I mentioned in this blog. Your words are every experience a black woman has had on this planet. Your voice is every last one of your experiences, heart matters, thoughts, and feelings down to your first ancestor. Words were spoken to you from the creator of the heavens and earth is how you came about. You were the first one on this planet. You spoke the first words on this planet. This may be a reason why the world fights you so damn hard, lady. Use your voice. You have one despite of. FOOD IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER
03/13/2021 Some of us know what it is like to eat out of a food box. Remember government cheese, powdered eggs, off brand cereal, powdered milk, and silver cans of meat? Yuck... Well These days you will find eggs(often a lab experiment) that are no longer powdered, potatoes(starch galore), a gallon of milk(cow pus), a bag of rice(traces of arsenic and non-organic), raw beans(great if non-GMO), some lettuce(great if non-GMO and pesticide free), frozen meat(don't get me started on slaughtered flesh), a loaf of cheese(proven link to illnesses and cancers), and other boxed and non perishable items(sugar sugar and bad carb heavy). The items in food boxes are so much better than back in the day though. Don't let the options fool you. There is more than meets the eye. We still have a long way to go. However, I am proud of the city that I live in here in the Pacific NW. I am glad to know that I have people around me who are working hard to see to it that food justice is put into action. Food isn't always food though. Food justice is more than access to edible substances that may, or may not digest properly if at all... In my state we have non-profit organizations that work to combat food deserts and access to fresh healthy fruits and vegetables grown organic and pesticide free. Farmers as well. We have plenty of farmland here. Hold up though... We have a very small percentage of people of color who own farmland in this state systematically speaking. Black people and other people of color do not just lack farmland because of the lack of resources, or know how(not our fault). It is because of the lack of access given, the laws behind them, opportunity, and land FAIRLY available for purchase. I'm talking about systematic racism. I am not about to break it down. Being forced out or denied access is not a new problem. The system has and continues to oppress in every way possible. Our ancestors farmed and ate fresh fruits and vegetables. Not just soul food, watermelon, or if you really want to get stereotypical; the lower end of the hog. Our ancestry began before we came to this country. Get it right. Hell, we are the ones who taught Western society about herbal medicine and other cultural practices if you ask me. Let me cut straight to the point. Systemic racism and oppression is an assault to the functioning and wellbeing of people of color. Let us not forget our classist society. It's a double triple diss for many. So being "BIPOC"(a term I hate for several reasons) alone comes with healthcare inequity on so many levels preventing so many from good health. Being poor, or a part of the working poor is a problem too. No one should be hungry or be forced to eat like sh*t. I am going to say it again. No one who is poor, or of color should be forced to eat like sh*t. All human beings on this earth have a birthright... Again... All human beings born into this world have every right to eat healthy. Have you noticed how wealthy healthy, middle class healthy, working poor healthy, and poor healthy differ when you approach public health organizations, hospitals, schools and so on? If not then you are walking asleep. Hello somebody!... When you get some time, go to Instagram, or foodie websites/blogs and look up food boxes or hashtag food boxes. You will see that it is a whole entire thing to have a food box. You will not see what is in a poor person's charity box aka food box unless you google a non-profit or a news article. There is actually food in boxes that look soooooo yummy and put together by theme. It's a "gourmet" thing I guess. They call them "Food Boxes" as well for those who did not know. It doesn't take much to see the mockery. lol It doesnt take much thought for those who are socially aware to see that the world could care less about those who are less fortunate leaving people to eat like sh*t and die... Aside from all of that, no one should ever feel guilty or shamed for wanting to eat whole organic foods. So many are shown that "Get what you can get and don't have a fit" shade. Because inequality has plagued systems, no one should ever have to be treated as such. It's like a silent social punishment. Who the hell are we to decide who eats and who eats what? Hmmm... I wonder how the nation would function if all farm workers of color quit. I am not even going to get started with their struggles which include income. I am not going to go there today. However, I am thankful for those who lobby for change. Anyways! Social punishment is like encouraging families to give children the vitamins that they need by giving them dairy, animal protein, and food grown from seeds formulated in a lab. First of all, it is biologically incorrect for humans to consume cow pus. Cow milk is for baby calves. Breast milk is for human infants and young toddlers. Nut milks and plant milks are absolutely wonderful for everyone if you ask me. I know why systems promote dairy and other food-like substances. I wont say right now, but a whole lot of money is involved. Have you ever had a doctor encourage foods that they don't consume themselves for health reasons? I have! Have you ever been encouraged to eat things that the giver would never eat? I have! Some social service workers provide budgeting forms and require financial education to poor people who eat "bougie" aka Whole Foods. As if being poor and eating right is irresponsible. Hmmmm.... There are so many different programs that exist within social services that are funded solely with the purpose of working to diminish healthcare disparities. There is also funding available to provide health & wellness education. Why do you think these programs REALLY exist given what I have already talked about? It's like being punched in the nose, told that ice packs exist, taught how to avoid being punched, then given ice packs in recognition of facial injuries that people suffer from to then get punched again. Then told that you have to be punched because punches are a part of the process as written policy. Now repeat the cycle over and over and over again. If punching stops no one gets hurt right? Common sense is best, but I guess it doesn't make enough money or keep the agendas going right? This is what's happening in communities. Insane right? What a hamster wheel right? lol I can go on and on but I will stop right here to say that true justice is food justice and food justice is real and tangible access to food that does not harm. It isn't just a box full of edible substances and expired edible substances. You can give someone grapes and call them healthy because they look like grapes, but if they taste like cotton candy, those grapes are not really grapes, but a food-like substance. You can call foods natural because they were grown, but is it really if the seeds were scientifically developed in a lab? How much do I need to simplify my explanations? People have a right to determine what is good for consumption and what isn't without being forced, given guilt trip stories about hard working volunteers, or pressured to eat unhealthy food because of their circumstances. Bump the canned vegetables. What a triple slap. You get vegetables with no nutrients, BPA chemical exposure, and a can full of sodium. Let's work on keeping people healthy beyond half alive. Oh and no more paid grants to study vulnerable populations like lab rats for $20.00 gift certificates(what an insult) considering the awareness of purposely constructed societal conditions. Food really is in the eyes of the beholder. We need to let people decide what is best to consume as individuals and households. Access to healthy organic whole foods is a human right period. #Rinasaidit "ALL NATURAL" THE SALES PITCH…
02/06/2021 Soooo.... Uhhhhh..... All natural eh? Let's hold off on hair extension products that companies are making millions off of. I am talking about those chemicals in the preservatives, dyes, fragrance, and even what I observe to be chemical copycat essential oils. So uhhhhh.... Those exclusive salon products that are promoted and used on natural hair as well... Ever notice how they alter your natural curl pattern? I have! Those chemicals give a flat iron formula mimicking Becky to the "T" type of straight... Someone said that it is better than promoting relaxers. I agree! However, enhancing my curl pattern doesn't mean loosening my kinky hair texture. I like my curl pattern. Hell... They put that in a category too and call it 4b-4c as we all are aware. Enhancing my curl pattern is great, but I didn't expect it to loosen it. If I want a relaxer I will get one. Oh boy... The tricks of the trade. I can just hear it; "They don't want the relaxer, so let's hide similar chemicals by being careful with legality when describing ingredients!" No shade to those that look like me in the hair and beauty industry though! Those millions should be in your pockets instead. I'm still going to buy from your product lines, and no I won't complain. I'm not a product critic at all. However, I don't like the compromise. Including certain additives that can lead to serious health conditions is a no for me. Certain conditions are more common than they are rare. So many consumers fall short by not doing enough of their own research, or asking enough questions. Many do not care enough to know if their health conditions are linked to what is being absorbed through the scalp and skin because no one has informed them. Most mainstream healthcare organizations are not going to offer that information right off the back to men and women of color like they promote the food pyramid. Pharmaceutical companies and that food pyramid equals $$$$$$$.... I also believe that the hair and beauty industry is beneficial to pharmaceutical companies much more than people take the time to realize, or even notice. So many people don't like to dig that deep, or truly see how much influence the $$$$$ truly has behind healthcare movements. This of course includes the natural hair movement that people always say is so political. It is in fact very political. Me wearing my hair is not a damn symbol of strength or a political movement. My natural hair is for my health maintenance, my pocketbook, and it's the hair I was born with. KEY: You don't need to throw your fist up when you see me. You do not need to inhale deeply to tell me that I give you life... Thank you, but I need my energy. So please do not try to draw from my antennas. Keep your hands to yourself. My hair personally isn't a statement. So chill. Don't be a cornball please. Now if you are cute and you tell me I smell like juices and berries I might just smile showing dimples and overbite. lol... So yes! Your hair is connected to your health. You heard it a million times as well as this topic... Sorry but hearing it again will not hurt. Keep your health in mind when you read and hear of all of the Natural hair care, or "Natural" sales pitches. No, I am neither a cosmetologist, nor healthcare professional. These "natural" products contain chemical compounds that may come from something grown, but can definitely harm your a**. Just because it is grown from the earth, does not mean that it is meant to be ingested, or absorbed through the skin. I sit there thinking; "Man!"... "This is a hustle and they be gettin people and getting folks that look like us to get other folks that look like us!" Me? I don't mind fresh products that I know are fresh. They may not smell as great. They may not even look as great. However, it does what it is supposed to do without a chance of gaining a new ailment from product ingredients. This way, money is made and no one is harmed unless they have an allergic reaction. WE HAVE TO STOP LETTING FOLKS PUPPETEER US FOR BENEFIT. I cannot tell anyone what to do, but this runs through my head often. How about you? If you are not a person of color, but you understand sales pitches and how predatory and capitalistic this world is; then you somewhat know what I am talking about. It's not just an issue in our country. I believe that it is a world issue. It all starts with integrity and with having the purest products. Purity and integrity always win in the end. It does! Anyways... I have spent a majority of the post talking about hair products, but this also applies to so many other marketed products including how our fruits and vegetables are grown. Ever bite into a nice sized kiwi that tastes like a pear, but has an organic sticker on it? I have! Genetic mutations... It's a monster topic of its own... Everyone runs to the "Natural" labels. We are in such a hurry at times that we forget to turn the box over and read the ingredients. I do not enjoy ingesting cow products that are marked vegan. True vegans do not consume any part of an animal. Buying natural food will cost you more. They want you to pay for the dream that they are trying to sell by slapping a name on a label. Nothing but pimps... It's only worth it if you do your research so you do not get got. lol... They are getting real slick with it though... Do you all get my point by now? Just had to talk about it. By the way, What is your take on all the marketing since the pandemic? They have been advertising super heavy to the least privileged of the nation. Ugggg My God today!... I have seen some obviously ridiculous things. But hey! They will get in and take advantage of every opportunity to pull money from people. We all know that, or at least should by now. WELL TRAINED 01/16/2021 See now why do I always have to be the one to notice the elephants? This particular one is a 50 foot pearl colored porcelain elephant. Now If I would have said something about it, that elephant would have shattered in a million pieces. Don't mean to burst bubbles, but even if I don't they burst on their own without my help. lol You know! When black people come together it is that certain energy. That magic, but you know those space invaders? Intentional and unintentional is what I mean. Even unaware... Man... Can we just have something for ourselves though? Now what bothers me is when I am treated like an inferior by my own reflection in the presence of whypipo. Folks will dot their I's and cross their T's, make emphasis on pronouncing English words correctly, listen attentively, pay extra attention to body language, and provide superior customer service. The times when code switching is a problem is what I am basically saying. No one should have to code switch period if you ask me. It’s exhausting as black people to have to speak, walk, talk, and act in certain ways to appease white fragility. All for that often subconscious good negro pat on the head validation. Let's not exclude job security. The quick to move over on the sidewalk. The shoe shining mindset. The urge to entertain those who are not comfortable with blackness. It’s the; “ Don't make the master mad or he will come for you!” The “ I must obey how I have been taught!” The well trained Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome down-right detrimental to the culture behavior that takes the it too far. It’s exhausting when we all should be living on the planet together in peace. The same "well trained" socially constructed behavior that keeps us oppressed. It's hands free puppeteering. Don't have to guide the steering wheel if it's built to drive itself. Such black folks will tell you what they are supposed to do because it's their jobs, or company policy to do so. I get it though!... Systematic oppression!... However it isn't all operated by whypipo, but by people that look like us. It is so scary to observe our own people being programmed to think less of their own to provide substandard customer service. "Loose here(in my church elder voice)!' lol... The very thinking and trained social behavior that somehow has not prevented the continuations of opportunities like educational opportunity, safety, proper healthcare services, housing, home ownership, employment, you name it. One example: A white woman with children who is unemployed is more than often referred to as a stay at home mom and praised for it. A black woman who is a homemaker is viewed as less than, talked to sternly, or treated like a lazy, shiftless, irresponsible, ghetto, low class, bad parent. It is more socially accepted and promoted for white women to take time off for dreams, ventures, focus on health, children, or straight up self care. In the meantime black women are spoken to firmly, or expected to override and move past being a stay at home mom to continue the vicious cycle of working to build someone else's empire, All while tending to the household and children like a stay at home mom. Black women are expected to be "strong" aka work to the point of weariness like super humans. Wypipo love referring to black women as strong. Yep... Black women have been tested on like lab rats because of "strength" and put through horrific situations and blamed as the system set it up to be. I mean why wouldn't a society such as ours set black women up to fail, if societal oppression is causing them to get sick and die younger? Epidemics always keep pockets filled and people in the places they are expected to be in... That good old oppression. I could go on... Now take both women and put them in front of store clerks, loan officers, medical professionals, receptionist, and the list goes on. It's sad to say this. Even if people who represent public service organizations are African American, it still does not mean that black women seeking culturally specific services from other black folks will be treated the same as whypipo are treated. Hope you catch my drift. I guess if "well trained" keeps employment, certifications, licenses, and approval, it is what it is. I call it trained co-dependency to a certain extent. YIKES!... Think about it... #Rinasaidit ALLIE WHO?
11/28/2020 “Allies”... I am not easily moved. What you can do to help me, or any other person of color is first ask. Never assume. Toss what you think is helpful, what you think is kind, what you think is necessary, and any other idea out of the door. Let us tell you what is needed, how, and when. This is why it is your duty. It is no one's job to educate you. Where to start? Read text written and published by scholars of color. This includes history about African countries and African American history. No you don't need to learn about cultural highlights like music, art, food, and dance unless you are willing to learn about how your ancestors have benefited from them through theft, genocide, appropriation and so many other atrocious circumstances. So no... You don't get a Cotton club performance. Hell! Our voices have even been hijacked. Our voices have been gentrified through interpretations of those who call themselves allies. The savior complex has filtered our needs, experiences, and words into code. The code speaks for us and gets us tools that more than likely won't create paths to generational wealth and health. For example: Fresh fruits and vegetables for people of color in food deserts. Black people are getting donated food grown on, or near industrial areas. The fruits and vegetables are grown using GMO seeds. Donated vegetables are often given a surplus of heavy starches like potatoes. Consider fresh fruits and vegetables that are actually grown and tested in organic grounds on farm land, or areas free of toxins. Consider Growers that use organic seeds, pesticide free soil and toxic plant treatment. Come again? GMO over organic should be the code. Oh and you advocated for laptops for students of color, but you didn't make sure to advocate for the parents to obtain the tools to work from home, learn from home, or visit the doctor from home if needed? Why the constant referrals to work "essential" jobs instead of safely earning an income from home at possibly higher wages? How about not having to spend up to a grand per child for childcare risking the health and well being of both children and parents instead of providing tools that can lead to generational wealth be the code. Consider investing in business ventures outside of the BIPOC melting pot that often places other people of color who are non African American or African last in line. And no they do not have to show you their business plan beyond proof of registration. Assist with obtaining home loans. Share your stock trading and crypto knowledge. Just a few pointers and what so many other people are afraid to speak up about. Short and sweet but real allies understand everything I just posted.😜😘 ***Code: racial oppression |
